Congratulations! You found me!
I’ve been blogging since 2003, and have been online longer than that — since 1995 with a continuous web presence since 1996. In October 2006 I decided that after a decade of online self-promotion, I deserved a break. But of course, that “break” is only temporary and I plan on climbing back in the saddle soon enough. In the meantime, though, I’ve closed my old blogs (on LiveJournal and SquareSpace) and am just thrilled with this, my new WordPress blog. So I’m not promoting it yet, but I’m sure spiders will find it… at any rate, it looks like you’ve found it too. Have fun poking around. Just remember: this is all very much “under construction.”
I’m very glad you are still blogging. Are you enjoying the Andreas09 theme? I keep bouncing back and forth between it and my current one.

Yes, I do like Andreas09, and the theme you’re using is gorgeous. I’m such a WordPress newbie, and I’m currently using their hosted version, so I’m clueless about such things as using a third party theme. Got lots to learn. In the meantime, thanks for the link (eventually my site will be back under http://www.anamchara.com, but I don’t know how soon — not until my ‘sabbatical’is over).

Hi Carl–Finding you wasn’t particularly difficult; all I did was Google your name and your new blog shows up on page 2. My friend Sally called me one night last week and asked all innocently, “Have you read Carl’s blog lately?” and when I said no not for a coupla weeks she said “Well, it’s gone. He’s taken it down”. Sure enough. I didn’t get to read your last post where presumably you explained why you were disabling it, but I thought something was in the works when I read (for me) your last Soundspace post where you wrote of feeling pressured to write something every day. I know you too well to think you’d go without writing for very long!! Anyway, now that I know how to find you, I’ll pop back in from time to time to see what you’ve written. Glad I can post here without going through a series of checkpoints….Pat Morell
