Contemplative Summit (Online Event), October 24-27, 2024

I’m so honored to be one of the presenters of the Spiritual Wanderlust 2024 Contemplative Summit! I’m joining other contemplative writers and teaches like Carmen Acevedo Butcher, James Finley, Kaira Jewel Lingo, James Martin, Christine Valters Paintner, and many others, for four days of conversation and exploration of various topics related to contemplative practice and spiritual living.

This year the organizers of the summit asked me to speak about contemplation and psychedelics. I’ve written about this before, so it’s a topic that I believe is timely and important, especially as more and more research is being done into the use of psychedelic medicines for the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and end-of-life care. And of course, many indigenous cultures continue to use psychoactive plants for ceremonial and sacramental purposes. I know this might be a new topic for many people, and perhaps even controversial — so please attend the summit and hear what I have to say!
