Spirituality & Practice is one of my favorite online websites/communities, offering a truly interspiritual approach to cultivating the interior life. I’ve been leading online courses for S&P for several years now, so imagine how thrilled I was when I was approached to lead their 2024 Lenten program! Naturally, we decided my theme would be “Lent with the Mystics” and I’d develop the course around how the Lenten themes of fasting, giving and prayer pair well with the classic mystical process of purification, illumination, and deification/union.

This course will include a series of emails with quotations from great mystics, my reflection on their wisdom, prompts for your own journaling, meditation and prayer, and a robust practice circle where you can interact with me and with the other course participants. We’ll also have a Zoom call on March 21 which will be recorded in case you can’t attend in person. Plus, if you’re a chaplain, this course counts for six continuing education hours.
