I’ll be returning to one of my favorite monasteries, Mepkin Abbey near Charleston, SC, to pray with the Trappist monks there and lead an in-person, Monday-Friday retreat on the spirituality of the great Spanish mystic, St. Teresa of Ávila!
St. Teresa of Ávila is one of the greatest of Christian mystics. Her books, including The Interior Castle, The Way of Perfection, and her autobiography, are widely recognized as mystical classics. During our time together we will learn about Teresa, reflect together on her words of wisdom, and consider how her teachings on prayer, meditation and contemplation remain relevant and useful for contemplative seekers today.
